"Piano Song" To Be Released Jan '17

Matthew Shipp Trio's "Piano Song" To Be Released January 2017: "Henry Rollins first introduced me to the music of Matthew Shipp. Thirsty Ear was marketing and distributing his label 2.13.61 Records for which Shipp was a recording artist. This was in the mid 90’s and the NY jazz scene was something I mostly read about in the papers. If you follow Perelman’s music from 2000 to what has transpired until 2015 – an extraordinarily eventful decade and a half – it is fair to say that it has caused a kind of Rite of Spring fracas and turned the whole sound world away from the predictable to something wholly full of surprise."
